Super excited to begin ESUSD’s community engagement around AI and Education. Grateful to have a thought partner in Erik Burmeister, Founder of Solutionary Advisors to kick-off ESUSD AI Leadership and Literacy Initiative. Initial event for all stakeholders will be held at El Segundo High School Performing Arts Center December 4th, lay the foundation for our path forward and honored to feature keynote from Richard Culatta, author and CEO ISTE. I encourage students, parents, faculty and community to attend. In addition, save a date to join us for one of three focus group stakeholder active engagement sessions Jan. 17, Jan. 30 or Feb. 8, 2024 to provide input on policy moving forward. #WeareESUSD!


The El Segundo Public Library is hosting its Wonderful Wednesdays program today!
Every Wednesday from 3:30 to 4:15pm, children ages 5-10 can take part in staff-led activities in the Sue Carter Community Room. Activities may include stories, crafts, or scavenger hunts. No registration is required!
Please note: Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

We’re honored to announce that El Segundo High School has been named to the 2023 AP School Honor Roll! This recognition is for having an AP program that gives students a head start on their college credits and setting them up for future academic success. 🏆🎉
Our high school has also been recognized with the 2023 AP Access Award for making college-level courses available to all students equally, regardless of their background.

In November, we are proud to recognize Native American Heritage Month. We honor the deeply rooted traditions and contributions of indigenous peoples as they continue to play a pivotal role in shaping our shared history.

It’s Halloween Movie Night at the El Segundo Public Library! 📽️🍿👻
Teens ages 12-17 are invited to enjoy a special Halloween-themed movie from 3:30 to 5:00pm in the Sue Carter Community Room.
Popcorn and snacks will be provided. No registration required!


It’s time for a Pumpkin Pool-ooza! 🏊 This event will be held from 1:30 to 3:30pm at the El Segundo Wiseburn Aquatics Center. Plunge into our floating pumpkin patch, then stick around to decorate your pumpkins and enter to win a raffle!
The price per pumpkin picker is $10 for non-residents and $5 for participants with a valid recreation ID. All adult swimmers pay $5 to help their children.
