ESHS Senior Cadee Baird was recently recognized by the LA Suicide Prevention Network as the recipient of the 2024 LASPN Dr. Elaine Leader Hero for Outstanding Youth Award, in recognition of Cadee’s extraordinary leadership, perseverance, and advocacy in suicide prevention.

Preschool students recently took a Caruso stroll through RSS to the library for a visit. They were warmly welcomed by staff as they toured the library and heard a story. It was a great experience and they hope to return soon!

Coach McCann recently led the team to a thrilling 32-31 victory over North Torrance, securing a second place Pioneer League finish and guaranteeing a playoff spot in the team’s inaugural season.

Outdoors provides the best space for gross motor activities in preschool!
Large muscle movement and refinement takes space and sometimes heavy pieces to move, lift, stack and build. All the while communicating to collaborate and analyze their creations together. Lots of meaningful learning is happening as they build their wonderful projects out in the crisp air with friends!

ESHS Varsity Boys Basketball Coach Scott Martin was recently honored as CIF Division 5AA Coach of the Year by the Southern California Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association (SCIBCA)! 🏀
Coach Martin led the Eagles to a successful season that included the third most wins in program history, only the team's second Pioneer League Championship in 20 years, and their first CIF Championship Game appearance in 22 years. Congratulations, Coach Martin! 🥳

The Cougars CARE Committee recently hosted their second assembly of the year focused on our core value: Community.
PAWS the Cougar alongside our Cougars CARE Committee staff members modeled for students what being a cougar-tastic community member here at CSS looks like and feels like. The assembly ended with a special awards ceremony honoring students that have exemplified community this school year. Go Cougars!
