Good afternoon El Segundo Unified families, With the recent tragedy in Florida, a national effort to end school violence is calling for students to walk out of school on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. While students have a right to protest, their safety is always our number one priority. El Segundo Unified School District has sought guidance from the California Department of Education and legal counsel to ensure students have appropriate options to participate in civic engagement in a safe manner, while also providing an alternative for students who are not interested in participating. Click headline for more.
