F.O.C.U.S (Finding Our Center Using Sport) 6-hour FOCUS program to aid student-athletes in their pursuit of personal excellence.
-------The goals are to 1) increase alcohol and drug awareness (recreational and performance enhancement drugs) and 2) provide life skills training that can be used in sport, the classroom, and life in general.
South Bay Coalition Originally established in 1987 out of a growing concern about alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use by youth in the South Bay. The Coalition membership is comprised of representatives from schools, community based organizations, churches, parents, youth, civic organizations, law enforcement, city councils, and business and industry.
Teen Line Teens helping Teens address their problems through a confidential peer hotline and community outreach program.
TEEN LINE’s Community Outreach Program takes panels of volunteer youth directly into schools to talk about topics pertinent to adolescents – learning about issues, and, most importantly, that whatever their problem, they are not alone.
Thelma McMillen Center for Chemical Dependency Torrance Memorial Medical Center has been committed to helping people live clean and sober lives since 1991. In 2003, Torrance Memorial expanded this program with the establishment of The Thelma McMillen Center for Chemical Dependency Treatment of Torrance Memorial Medical Center.
