In support of student learning, plans are underway for construction of a 7,500-square-foot, six-classroom building at Richmond Street School that is expected to be ready for the 2023-24 school year.

The El Segundo High School library is undergoing a complete renovation and modernization funded by the 2018 Measure ES facilities bond. Work began in May and is expected to be completed in late August 2021.

As part of the El Segundo Unified School District’s Long-Range Facilities Master Plan, El Segundo Middle School is slated to receive an all-new $19 million gymnasium on the north side of campus along Center Street. Groundbreaking is targeted for fall 2021 and the new building is estimated to be completed in early 2023.
The El Segundo Unified School District welcomes Bridget Fredrickson as the new assistant principal for El Segundo Middle School beginning with the 2021-2022 school year. The ESUSD Board of Education approved the hiring of Ms. Frederickson at its June 22, 2021 meeting.
