ESUSD Announces Classified Employees of the Year

We accepted nominations for employee recognition in the categories of Instructional Assistants, Student Support Services, Office and Technical Employees, Child Nutrition, and Maintenance, Operations, and Facilities. There are many employees worthy of recognition at all of our sites, and this year we are recognizing the following people as Classified Employees of the Year for their outstanding service to our schools, staff, students, and community:
Student Support Services: Sharon Felker (ESMS)
"Sharon is a team player! She is an integral part of the ESMS office staff displaying professionalism, kindness, and a sense of humor. What I really appreciate is that she has a sixth sense about kids who arrive in the nurse's office; she has good intuition... Sharon pitches in when needed, and she does so with a positive attitude. I'm so glad that I get to work alongside her.‚Äč"
Instructional and Paraeducators: Kristen Knoll (ESMS)
"Kristen goes above and beyond to help her students...she keeps them organized and accountable. She is also amazing in the classroom helping ALL of my kids!!!"
Office and Administrative Support: Lynette Marcus (RSS)
"Lynette is the first and last person to leave the Richmond Office each day. She is thorough, detail-oriented, and conscientious. Nothing slips past her. She truly is the glue of Richmond Street school."
Maintenance and Operations: William Ochoa (ESHS)
"William is amazing. He is totally dedicated to making the school look amazing, and helping it run equally amazing. He never complains about work, and always has a positive attitude towards his job. it is always a pleasure to see him."
Please join us in congratulating these outstanding employees! All four will be nominated for recognition at the County level with the Los Angeles County Office of Education. We will also honor them at the Board meeting on April 25th.
