ESHS Students Participate in National ‘Be Strong’ Anti-Bullying Campaign

ESHS AVID students were able to listen and speak with the event’s motivational speaker Nick Vujicic, a man born without any limbs who has never let anything get in his way. Vujicic presents a message of hope and resiliency that has proven to have a positive impact on student behavior.

Students also received free access to the "Be Strong" app (by Stand Strong USA, Inc.) for their smart phones, which provides resources such as ready-access to an instant phone hotline, crisis text line and trusted friends/family alert, as well as free nearby social services.

ESHS AVID's mission is to have courage and be kind. AVID promotes positive interactions with all students on campus and the students were so grateful for the experience and for ESUSD providing the opportunity to participate.

Be Strong is a nonprofit organization determined to provide resources to stop bullying, help teens facing depression and save lives among the youth of America.
