Community members may also independently fund ESUSD classroom projects on the www.donorschoose.org website by making a separate, individual donation. ESUSD teachers who currently have projects listed on Donors Choose include Ms. Breene, Ms. Igi, Mrs. Katz, and Ms. Salcer from Richmond Street School; and Mr. Brandlin from El Segundo Middle School.
Participating Chevron and Texaco gas stations will display “Fuel Your School” signage and ALL Chevron and Texaco branded stations located in the City of El Segundo are participating. Consumers do not need proof of fuel purchases for projects to be funded. The donation of $1 for an 8-gallon or more fuel purchase is automatically applied as a result of a purchase at the pump.
The Fuel Your School program can help make a big impact for ESUSD students and their future. Effective education, including Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), can foster bright young talent for the future workforce and healthy economic growth of our local communities, as well as the entire country.
