Dr. Alice Lee Named Principal of Richmond Street Elementary School

At the Board of Education meeting on May 12th, the Board appointed Dr. Alice Lee as Principal at Richmond Street School (RSS) for the 2015/16 school year. The principal opening at RSS attracted a large and highly competitive pool of applicants. Dr. Farris conducted three focus group meetings with the faculty, classified employees, and parents to seek input regarding desirable qualities in the RSS principal. The hiring process included paper screening to identify candidates who were highly qualified, an initial  screening interview, a comprehensive panel interview, writing prompt, a finalist interview, and reference check.  In the end, Dr. Alice Lee had proven she was the best selection to lead RSS as principal.
