Board of Education welcomes new principal for El Segundo High School

Mr. Mancilla comes to ESUSD from Manhattan Beach Unified School District where he served the past six years as Assistant Principal at Mira Costa High School. Mr. Mancilla obtained his Bachelors of Arts in Spanish from Loyola Marymount University and his Masters Degree in Educational Administration from California State University Dominguez Hills. Prior to assuming administrative duties, Mr. Mancilla was a 17 year veteran teacher of Spanish. My Mancilla resides in Torrance with his wife Kristie and two children Alexa and Jackson. He is an active volunteer in Cub Scouts and the Laundry of Love Project, a charity that washes clothes for the homeless. He also enjoys playing guitar.
